Central to the Loftsails racing program, Racingblade is a purpose-built sail engineered for maximum efficiency with fin setups. Specifically developed for competitive slalom racing, it meets all PWA rules and regulations while delivering the acceleration and top-end speed serious racers demand.

The 2026 Racingblade continues its legacy of continuous refinement, introducing a series of updates that elevate handling and performance. Subtle batten angle re-orientation and re-scheduled luff curves improve balance and lower the sail’s center of gravity, while a slightly lower foot profile increases control and delivers even more drive when powered up. The higher aspect ratio and revised shaping reduce drag and create a locked-in, aerodynamic feel across a broad wind range.

At the heart of the Racingblade’s stability are carefully tuned battens, combining longer rod sections and rear-shifted tube segments to create a shallower entry profile. This configuration further cuts drag and promotes smoother, quicker cam rotation. All battens are housed in side-alternating X-Ply pockets to minimize asymmetry and preserve a clean, stable shape under the load. For 2026 Racingblades are equipped with the new 30% lighter Loftsails TekCam 3 system that further enhances cam rotation and accommodates higher batten angles, supporting the sail’s refined shaping without sacrificing smooth rigging or handling.

The mast pocket uses 2-mil quad-axial X-Ply and IYU250 woven material to create a double-layer stretch-resistant zone. This zone runs from head to tack just behind the mast, helping the pocket maintain its precise shape over time. To further improve durability, the mast sleeve now features a 50mm triple-sewn seam, resisting wear through years of rigging and racing.

The new Dual Kevlar clew radials stabilize the sail’s profile under heavy load, distributing forces more evenly and supporting consistent drive and forward pull. Reinforcements across the central window, leech, and foot panels use X-Ply laminates, while 4.0 mil bi-ply body panels provide excellent UV and stretch resistance. For 2026, 5.0 mil foot panels increase durability in high-wear zones, ensuring long-lasting performance session after session.

Finished in a clean, functional minimalism graphic, the Racingblade sheds unnecessary marker cloth and scrim, reducing visual clutter while also lowering the sail’s weight center. The result is a more balanced feel and enhanced reactivity in all conditions.
